Across the organisation, we have over 160 years of risk management experience, both domestic and international. Coupled with this strength, we also bring together a team with a diversity of professional backgrounds, affiliations and experience.

All of our people are experts in cost and schedule risk analysis and have extensive knowledge of the main industry proprietary risk analysis and management software packages i.e. Primavera Risk Analysis, Predict!, ARM, @Risk, ModelRisk and Crystal Ball.

  • Bill Zuurbier

    BSC (Hons) MRICS

    Bill has over 20 years’ consultancy and contracting experience. He is an expert in complex quantitative risk modelling of both cost and schedule and in the communication and development of risk management processes in projects and programmes from £50k to £10bn.

    He is an experienced facilitator and has contributed to the successful development and implementation of risk management and the associated communications processes and protocols within projects and programmes at all levels.

  • Jacqueline Hughes

    BA (Hons) IRMCert

    Jacqueline has over 10 years’ risk management experience working in the Rail Environment. Recently she has been working on a wide portfolio of schemes including; Rail, Roads and Nuclear Power. Previous to Equib, Jacqueline worked directly for Network Rail carrying out quantitative risk modelling of both cost and schedule and in the communication and development of risk management processes in projects and programmes from £50k to £350m.

    She has become an experienced facilitator and has contributed to the successful development and implementation of risk management and the associated communications processes and protocols within both projects and programmes.

  • Graham Ramsden

    BSc (Hons) MAPM

    Graham has over 25 years’ risk management experience within the rail and telecommunications sectors.

    He is an experienced facilitator and has provided training in risk management and associated tools, as well as mentoring to many of the 40 strong Risk and Value team at Network Rail. His experience in specifying, designing, configuring and rolling out risk management systems began in the telecoms sector and has continued in the rail industry.

    In the telecommunications industry, Graham worked for British Telecom (BT) and was their lead risk management consultant supporting the largest commercial bids in BT to provide services to major customers including Ministry of Defence (MOD), Home Office and major banks.

  • Andrew Cullis

    BA (Hons) MAPM

    Andrew has over 10 years’ experience in the field of risk analysis and management; he is an expert in complex quantitative risk modelling of both cost and schedule.

    Andrew is an experienced facilitator and has contributed to the successful development of risk management and communication of the associated processes, procedures and methodologies within projects and programmes at all levels.

    Andrew has many years of experience in working in multi-disciplined working environments; and within the Transportation, Energy, Oil and Gas, and Defense sectors. He has extensive knowledge and experience of working within large multi-national organisations and their integrated PMO’s.

  • Neil Dunkerley

    BSc MRICS

    Neil is a fully trained and experienced Risk Manager, Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Programme Manager and Project Manager with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, which has been gained in several sectors including transportation, civil engineering construction, local government, regeneration, higher education, and power generation.

    At various stages during his career Neil has worked directly within Client organisations, within development, bid and delivery teams – from feasibility and financial viability, through to commercial and legal negotiations, planning, procurement and delivery.

  • Mark Alcock

    MSc

    Mark has over 40 years’ experience as a risk management specialist on large capital projects and has worked closely with operating companies in the mining, rail, defence, power, and nuclear industries.

    His career highlights include senior risk roles for the Astute Class Submarine, Metronet SSL, Crossrail-Western tunnels, and HS2 Phase 1. With key strengths including the design and roll-out of integrated project risk systems, Mark is adept in providing high-quality risk information for confident decision making, assumptions management, and improving risk capability through education and training. He also has experience in facilitating strategic risk management workshops, using ‘Worry Storms’, and supporting management at all levels to improve understanding of risk and its role in bringing a project to a successful conclusion.

  • Mark Matthew

    BSc (Hons) MAPM

    Mark has over 18 years’ experience as a risk management specialist on large-scale infrastructure projects, as well as programmes in the defence, aerospace, energy, and nuclear industries.

    Mark’s career highlights involve supporting BAE Systems with risk management and analysis in the early-stage development of the £30bn Dreadnought Submarine Programme. His key strengths include conducting quantitative and schedule risk analysis and generating uncertainty models to aid decision making.

    Having worked closely with onsite delivery teams, Mark knows the importance of developing a strong risk management culture that both informs and supports decision making.

  • Clive Muir

    MSc (Dist) FGS, CGeol, RoGEP

    With over 30 years’ experience in strategic risk management consultancy, Clive has extensive national and international experience, including his involvement in diverse transport-related programmes such as the Cairo Metro, Heathrow Expansion, and HS2. 

    Originally an engineering geologist, he started his career working on dam projects in South Africa, which led him to specialise in geotechnics. His strong engineering risk background, combined with his cross-sector experience in fields such as ground investigation, geo-hazard identification, and data analysis make him a leading expert in infrastructure-related risk management.

  • Andrew Watts

    PhD IRMCert

    Andrew specialises in applying quantitative and qualitative analytical and risk management techniques to facilitate decision support at both a strategic and project level. 

    With a PhD in Physical Chemistry, Andrew is adept at complex problem solving, data analysis, and critical thinking. Andrew has provided his risk management expertise to clients across a range of major projects, including HS2 Phase 2B, Crossrail, Thames Tideway (West), Transpennine Route Upgrade (East) and Riyadh Metro.

    His specialist skills and experience span the following areas: Schedule Risk Analysis (Pertmaster/Primavera Risk Analysis); Qualitative Risk Analysis; Quantitative Risk Analysis (@Risk); Advanced Excel & VBA; Complex Problem Solving and Modelling; Optimisation problem solving (@Risk Optimiser); Data presentation and analysis (PowerBI).

  • Eleanor Mackenzie

    MSc

    Ellie has extensive experience in conducting detailed cost and schedule risk analysis to support mega project delivery. Further to this, she has specialist experience in managing potential geological, geotechnical and contamination issues. 

    Ellie has advised project teams on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure programmes, including the Great Western Electrification Programme, the West Coast Route Modernisation Programme, Thames Tideway and the Western Rail Link to Heathrow.  

    Along with her expertise in risk management consultancy, Ellie also facilitates project change control and provides contractual early warning management systems to support project delivery.

    Nishan has joined Equib as a Graduate Risk Manager with a First Class (Honours) degree in Business Management with Law.

  • Adam Keith

    BSc MSc

    Adam had over 12 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, Water, Property, Aviation, Banking and Rail Industries, working on projects in value up to £16bn, specialising in embedding risk management and controls into client’s capital programmes.

    Adam is capable of providing expertise on programme management and risk management techniques; advice on technical and commercial opportunities, as well as, analysis and implementation of business improvement strategies.

    Adam is an experienced and knowledgeable risk management practitioner, who focuses on adding maximum value to projects and programmes.

  • Nicholas Grindley

    BEng (Hons), PGCert, CPP

    Nicholas is a Senior Cost, Schedule & Quantitative Risk Analyst with over eighteen years’ experience of providing cost, schedule and risk analysis and management services at all stages of procurement and delivery cycles within the Defence, Transportation and Construction sectors, producing exposure forecast budgets, independent cost and schedule assurances for both military and civilian clients.

    Experienced in client and contractor functional project quantified delivery has allowed Nicholas to implement and provide advice via subject matter presentations or group discussions on project cost, time and quantified risk assurance.

    Nicholas is a former member of The International Society of Parametric Analysts, a Certified Parametric Practitioner (CPP), and has undertaken Primavera P6 Professional Certification and holds a Construction Skills Certification Green Card.
