Josh Gooding | Risk Analyst
Working at Equib over the past 18 months, having joined as a Graduate, has been a hugely rewarding experience. During this time I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to a range of major infrastructure projects, including the TransPennine Route Upgrade, Immingham Eastern RoRo Terminal, BBV (HS2), SCS, and National Grid projects. The variety and scale of the work has allowed me to develop professionally while being part of projects that have real impact across the UK.
Beyond project delivery, I’ve also enjoyed being involved in Equib’s Products and Services group, which provides a great opportunity to contribute to the innovative side of the business and help shape how we deliver value to clients. I’ve also had the chance to mentor some of our new graduates this year, which has been a particularly rewarding experience.
What stands out most about Equib, though, is the culture. It has a genuinely supportive, family-like feel where people are encouraged to collaborate, share ideas, and enjoy the journey together. The regular team socials every couple of months are a great reflection of that and help create a strong sense of community across the team.

Judie Lancaster | Risk Manager
I have been with Equib nearly a year, after having worked as a Risk Manager for over 7 years, mostly for large corporate consultancies. Equib in its small size and specialist focus on Risk Management has really allowed me to move into a new era of my career. I am truly able to bring my whole self to work, developing incredibly positive relationships with my colleagues and being the most confident in my roles and work than I have ever been before. Everyone is passionate, dedicated and extremely knowledgeable while being welcoming, supportive and creating a relaxed work atmosphere.

Loreto Calo | Senior Risk Manager
I joined Equib less than a year ago, bringing experience from a career that has spanned mining, nuclear, rail, and airfield projects. Working at Equib has given me the opportunity to both apply and broaden my experience, while also taking on genuinely challenging work. Being in a risk-focused environment means being part of a supportive and accessible team with the knowledge and expertise each project demands. The level of professionalism and camaraderie here is excellent, and I’m very pleased to be part of the company.

James Foden | Senior Risk Manager
I joined Equib just over a year ago, I was formerly in Military Intelligence and found my way to Project Risk Management via Security Risk Management. Previously, I was employed by a large consultancy where I cut my teeth in my new role. With leadership, management, and training experience already under my belt, I was offered a position in the Management Team as the Training Lead for Equib. Being in a company of this size really allows you to feel your contribution to the success of the company. Client-wise I have been able to land a long-term role near home which suits my personal life at the moment, but I have also been able to discuss my aspirations openly, so as my situation changes, I am confident I'll be able to pivot to new roles.

Mark Matthew | Director
I re-joined Equib 5 years ago, as a Senior Risk Manager, having previously worked with Equib in the past. As of April 2026, I am now a Director having successfully mobilised and established the Operations function. I have 20+ years’ experience in Risk Management and Quantitative Analysis. In my early career as a Project Manager in the Defence sector, effective Risk Management was particularly important due to the commercial nature of fixed price contracts. This led me to specialise in Risk Management and having spent several years in the Defence sector I broadened my experience into the other sectors of Aerospace, Nuclear, Energy (Oil & Gas) and more recently Infrastructure. I have enjoyed a varied career working on some Significant Projects primarily in the UK but on occasions further afield. I have been lucky to have worked on some diverse Projects including Underwater weapons, unmanned aircraft, Ships, Radar, Submarines, Oil Platforms (Topsides) and Subsea developments, Thames Tideway Sewer, Metrolinx Rail, HS2 and Lower Thames Crossing.
Equib have a unique culture that makes it a truly satisfying business to work for – the growth and diversity we have seen in recent years really support this. Equib promote a healthy work hard / serious perspective whilst ensuring its people are looked after creating opportunities for all to learn and develop whilst having fun in the process.
